Diana Renee McLellan

Diana Renee McLellan, born on October 22, 1981, in Saskatoon, left this world peacefully on March 7, 2025, in Drayton Valley. Diana’s life was a beautiful tapestry, woven with threads of love, joy, and a profound passion for the great outdoors.

A devoted wife to husband Daniel Heaton, Diana filled the roles of wife and mother with unwavering dedication and affection. She was the proud mother of three spirited children, Joseline and Brayden McLellan and Lanny Bishop, who brought endless laughter and light into her life. As a mother, Diana was a source of strength and kindness, instilling in her children the values of compassion and perseverance.

Diana's family extended far beyond her immediate household. She is survived by her beloved siblings: Jeannie (CJ) Rip, Bonnie Peters, Wesley (Connie) Peters, and Ben Peters. Each shared cherished memories with her, highlighting the bonds that only siblings can create. Diana held a special appreciation for her sister Jeannie, whose loving care during her final days will forever remain a testament to their deep connection. She is also survived by the fathers of her children, Shawn McLellan and Jason Bishop.

Additionally, Diana’s warmth and humor made her an adored figure among her extended family. She leaves behind beloved relatives including Travis, Ryan, and Keith Peters, as well as Shelby and Nathan Peters. The joy she brought to family gatherings and the love she shared created memories that will linger, held close in the hearts of all who knew her.

Diana was a passionate lover of nature, often retreating to the mountains that she adored hiking. She found solace in the great outdoors, where her spirit soared among the trees and valleys. Her garden was a labor of love, blossoming with flowers that she tended with enthusiasm and care. Known for her culinary skills, Diana was also a good cook, bringing family and friends together around the dinner table to share special moments over homemade meals.

In her final days, Diana was not alone; her faithful dog Cocoa provided companionship and comfort, a loyal friend who stood by her through life's challenges.

The impact Diana had on those around her is immeasurable. Her vibrant spirit and devotion to family and friends will be deeply missed, leaving a void that will not easily be filled. Diana Renee McLellan may have departed from this world, but the legacy of love she leaves behind will endure, cherished in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to have shared in her life.

Cremation has taken place and her family will honor her with a private memorial service at a later date.
